Kshitij Kumar, CEO

TellyTopia is Kshitij's brainchild. With over 15 years of leadership experience in the Telecommunications industry (Marketing, Business Development, System Architecture, Software Management), Kshitij brings the vision needed to guide TellyTopia to success.

Kshitij has founded several startups in the past including CanadaFlix (a precursor to the Netflix era), Renaissance Systems, and co-founded Lantern Canada. Kshitij was the key force behind turning around an ailing Lantern, and enabling it's eventual sale to C-COR. At C-COR, Kshitij led Business Development and Technical Marketing for the Access and Transport Business Unit and spent two years in very close contact with the CATV and IPTV world.

He started his career at C-DoT, helping build the first generation of Indian Digital Switching Systems for Telephony. After a Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, Canada, Kshitij became a key Technical Leader at Nortel in Ottawa, designing cutting edge Object Oriented Voice Switching Systems. The Entrepreneur bug bit him when he became part of the core group of people starting an ambitious Terabit Router startup inside Nortel - a product that later became Nortel's Optera Packet Core. Kshitij lead the IP Routing and MPLS Software Development teams inside the Optera Packet Core.
